When you travelling to places like Berlin, London, Munich or Paris you'll find a lot of people taking selfies with a selfie stick.  Sascha Steinhoff wrote an interesting article about this phenomena in for heise Foto or better how to stop it. He calls the stick in German "Deppenzepter". If you translate it one to one into English it will get to "a fool's scepter". An also very interesting way to stop selfies is to photobomb them with a sign containing the following text: "Selfies are embarrassing!" (as seen on Spiegel online)

Today the European Parliament decided to reject the request to restrict the freedom of panorama.   So it will still be allowed to publish pictures of buildings or public works of art on Deviantart, Facebook, Tumblr and other social networks. But the freedom of panarome like here in Germany is still a dream in other European countries like France, Italy and Belgium. Here you still have to ask the copyright holder like an artist or an architect of you can use the picture in a commercial way. So let's hope these countries will change this in the near future.
